South Punjab Livelihood Security (SPLS) Programme

AwazCDS has recently launched the South Punjab Livelihood Security (SPLS) Programme in tehsil Alipur of district Muzaffargarh. This programme mainly focuses on the Food Security, Livestock including Poultry development and Irrigation water management.

Following are the activities of this programme.

• Kitchen Gardening and Provision of Seeds

• Construction of Bio Compost pit Construction

• Livestock Extension Worker Training & Provision of Kits

• Livestock Field Days (Vaccination and de-worming campaigns)

• Construction of small scale irrigation infrastructures

• Sessions on effective land preparation

• Sessions on food and livelihood rights

• Sessions on water and soil testing

• Community Physical Infrastructure with 20% community contributing and 80% by AwazCDS.

• Six-month’s agricultural loan to small farmers
