Information and Knowledge Management (IKM)
The strategic focus of this programme is making knowledge accessible to and usable for local partners, policy-makers, advocates, and development practitioners for the benefit of southern Punjab people and beyond. This program is based in Multan.
In order to achieve the set goal under this strategic programme Awaz CDS has established following three sub units;

Research & Documentation Unit (RDU)
The purpose of establishing this unit was to conduct researches on different social issues as well as to document these researches. This unit is publishing different material like posters for awareness raising, monthly/ quarterly newsletters “Reflection”, annual reports, hand bills, brochures and booklets. Booklets in relation to;
Communication & Database Unit (CDU)
The main responsibility of this unit is to maintain/enter the human rights violence cases in the database as reported in local and national level newspapers. Unit is updating the record of above mentioned cases since March 2004 till 7th March 2010 9637 human rights violence cases have been entered in database, unit is maintaining the list of 900 local/national and regional organization and all the printed material (posters, brochures, reports, studies etc) is being shared with these organization on regular basis. Unit is also updating a list of email addresses (1050 individuals/organizations) and the information is also being shared electronically on these addresses. A library is being maintained by the unit in which printed material of other organization is also being managed in order to provide the information to organizational staff as well as for other civil society members/organization.
The unit widely disseminates the information to other NGOs and donors; it also includes government departments, ministries, parliamentarians, CBOs, CSOs, journalists, trade and labor unions, grassroots VDCs and CCBs.
Information Technology Unit (ITU)
Information Technology Unit is uploading all the printed material on the website in soft form on regular basis and ensuring the availability of information national and internationally. The unit also disseminates the monthly/quarterly e-news letter which is being posted on the website of the organization on regular basis and this developed e-newsletter is further sent electronically by communication and database unit.
The unit regularly maintains AwazCDS website and all the networking of head office and field offices
